Getting ERROR: FetchError:exceeded 4.seconds to Constructor while waiting for a response

Can anyone help with this error? Twitter cards were working fine for us until recently, now we get this error:

ERROR: FetchError:exceeded 4.seconds to Constructor while waiting for a response for the request, including retries (if applicable) (Card error)

We use Wordpress and JM Twitter Cards.

All the meta tags are correct so I can’t figure out what’s happening. Any help would be really appreciated. Thanks

When I try to create a new access token at apps.twitter.com , I get an error.
