Getting a lot of intermediate 401 errors

We’re hosted on the Google Appengine. I just noticed a lot of 401 errors in the logs (hundreds of them). I contacted Google Appengine just now to check if the problem is with the system clocks there but they say things are fine on their end.

Can someone from twitter be able to help? Many users are not able to login.

I’m not aware of any issues with authentication right now – is this still persisting? Do you have more details on the specifics of the 401s – status messages that accompany them, etc. Are there patterns to the spike in 401s? (certain accounts but not others, specific API methods but not others, etc).
