Android app is in early alpha stage, interface with Twitter except of authentication done without 3rd-party libraries.
When searching for places near location, request like:
https://api.twitter.com/1.1/geo/search.json?granularity=neighborhood&lat=XXX&long=YYY&accuracy=1000&max_results=1000
with valid geographical coordinates in Europe (current location) returns no places with granularity=neighborhood, all places for city, admin and country. The same request in Northern America successfully returns neighborhood places. I have not tried other continents.
From the same current location in Europe standard Twitter android app can find neighborhood places. So in theory, if Twitter app uses the same API as my app, I should receive some neighborhood places too. By some reason it does not happen in Europe.
The question is: how I can get with existing Twitter API nearby places of interest with granularity=neighborhood in the Europe?
