FOLLOW/UNFOLLOW <username> commands do not work anymore

Using thirdparty apps, we used to be able to follow/unfollow users by typing the SMS commands "FOLLOW ", "UNFOLLOW " as tweet messages.

Looks like those commands do not work anymore. I tried a few third-party apps, and twitter iphone app as well. When I type the SMS command "FOLLOW ", it shows up as a tweet, as opposed to following that user. As of now, SMS style commands only work on Twitter’s website.

Did anyone else notice this issue?

We’re finally cleaning up the mostly undocumented “side effect” tweet commands that statuses/update used to interpret. Please use the canonical functions for those actions instead from now on.
