Follow button text appears one sec and quickly disappears on IE 8

Hello,
i’ve got my website with a follow button (bottom-right):

Jacopo Ottaviani on about.me

I am a Data editor and lecturer in Italy. Ask me about anything.

it works well in safari, chrome and firefox. But in IE 8, the button doesn’t show up («follow» text appears one sec and quickly disappears).
Don’t know what this happens. Any idea?
