Hi,
in the FAQ page I read:
“You can stream up to 500,000 Tweets per month (months are calculated starting from the day you activate this preview)”
I have two questions:
- Is there a way (via API) to get how much tweets have already been consumed or how many more can be consumed in the current monthly window?
- What exactly is meant by “months are calculated starting from the day you activate this preview”? How do I know when it starts next month?

500k per month is a very lower number. The v2 API really cripples the free access tiers…

Does anyone have answers to these questions? 
Thanks so much for reaching out here. Some exciting news, we just launched this as a new feature where you can check your usage towards the monthly Tweet cap by viewing the main dashboard page.
Under the name of your project, you’ll see a status bar that will help illustrate your current month’s usage in relation to the Tweet cap. You will also see the number of Tweets you pulled this month, the percentage of Tweets used in relation to the cap, and the date your Tweet cap usage resets.

@DrRaviPatel Thanks for your feedback, in terms of the cap, we’re just getting started and we are planning on offering elevations in the future.

Is it possible to get that data via API? Or for bonus points, putting that info directly in the response header?
Otherwise we would have to build a scraper…

At this point, we do not have an endpoint for this available but this is a great suggestion. Please feel free to add it to our feedback channel.

Hi @jessicagarson, thanks for your feedback.
It is not clear to me the behaviour of the monthly window.
For example, in my dashboard I can see this message: “Resets on September 23 at 00:00 UTC”. but my activation was not made on 23rd of August (I can see that my tokens, for the app in the version 2 project, were created on August the 19th).
Would it be possible to better explain how the monthly time window works?

Thanks for following up. This date is tied to account creation (the same way this works for premium) and not the date you set up the project.
