Feed widget, filter by #hashtag, does not work

Hi

I have embedded a twitter feed to our customer’s website and filtered the feeds by #hashtag but the preview says: Hmm, an empty timeline. That’s weird

Where might the problem lie?

I do the following:

1. Go to Twitter.com
2. Search #hashtag
3. Go to “Advanced Search”
4. Search by “These hashtags”
5. On top of the results, click the blue dots and “Embed this search”

And there it is: Hmm, an empty timeline. That’s weird.

Even when there ARE tweets for this #hashtag

Anyone have any clue what the problem might be? For other #tags it works. But this particular one does not for some reason work.

What is the hashtag you’re trying?

The widget will only support displaying Tweets going back a small number of days (maybe a week or so), but Advanced Search on the web allows you to search across all of Twitter’s history. Is there a chance that the most recent Tweets you see in the search are more than a week or two old?

It’s #kaupandigi and searching even from the beginning of 2010 doesn’t return anything.

The most recent Tweet I see for that hashtag is in December, so I think the issue is simply that there are no results recent enough for the widget to display them. Sorry about that.
