Favorites counter

I’ve seen a lot of enhancements to the apis lately. Any change of getting the favorites counter per tweet available using the REST API?
I’m working on an app that should show our users how well their tweets perform. We were thinking about the following metrics:

number of retweets - got that from the status/show response
number of favorites - I don’t know where to get that from … user streams are not server-to-server, would need to go to sitestremas?

Any help would be appreciated!

Within the last couple weeks we added a new “favorite_count” field to tweet responses from the APIs. You should find it when you use timeline methods or statuses/show or otherwise.
