We are still having problems with this issue. it seems to be working for Tweets coming from our blog (different server) but main site its not working. Latest example image is this one http://res.hoteltravel.com/germany/frankfurt/articleimages/boutique_hotels_museumsuferfest_1.jpg

Seems image specific, only happens to certain images.
This image happens 100% down, but others work fine.

Erro: Failed to get a proxied URL for the image.

Also how can we whitelist all wildcard subdomains for profiles on Minus? Example is http://john.minus.com

Thanks

Same problem here. Example: http://alero.com.ua/components/com_virtuemart/shop_image/product/La_Scala_Y230_47_4f5f569abaf8c.jpg

I am getting the same problem too.

If there is an error will this prevent the twitter card from displaying at all?

Same problem on http://citius.usc.es/ (Summary card) and http://citius.usc.es/novidades/canle-citius/460 (Video card). That’s odd enough, because on the video card I get the image directly from youtube, and it seems to work fine there!

Edit: As of today, it’s working for local images (it was NOT working yesterday), but not for the youtube ones! What could be happening?

Here is my image source and it is not working.

here is the meta:

Error:
Failed to get a proxied URL for the image.

What to do with it now?

Removing the underscores from my image link helped. That’s pretty absurd.

Sorry for the delay. In testing now, it seems to work. I did use this technique to help refresh stale cache content, if it’s helpful:

Hi @alerocomua,

When I run it now, i see “Denied by robots.txt”

Check this URL and search for robots.txt on how to configure your servers (or ask you sysadmins to configure it!)

Thanks!

Hi @ajbozdar!

I tested the validator against the following URL: http://ajbozdar.me/the-father-poem-by-ronald-ross/

It appears to work now. Please give it a shot and let me know.

Thanks!

Ryan

Hey,
Glad to see there are finally some Twitter devs back on the scene.

I’ve been having mixed success with Twitter cards. Predominately the ‘proxied image’ error.

All referenced images are stored with Amazon S3. Some time the image will display correctly - at other times the same image will not display at all.

Just tried this URL -

And get the proxied image error.

Don’t suppose you can point me in the right direction?

Thanks,
Richard.
