Extracting Tweets from a past date not working

I tried to extract twitter data from a date 10 days ago, i passed the following as the search parameter after referring to
https://dev.twitter.com/docs/using-search

as per the link the following is my keyword

phone since:2013-13-16
After URL encode
phone +since%3A2013-13-16

passing it in the link -
$out.0.url = “https://api.Twitter.com/1.1/search/tweets.json?q=phone +since%3A2013-13-16”

All data that I get is for the run date, please can someone correct this.

The Search API generally only provides data for about one week in the past. Also, the date you’re passing, 2013-13-16 would be the 16th day of the 13th month of the year 2013.
