As of today I canât even manually type in a reply and tweet it. No links in the message. Only thing that isnât plain text is the twitter account to which Iâm replying. I did accentuate one word, by placing asterisks on either side of the word. Surely that doesnât matter?
I get this error message:
There was an error posting your message.
This request looks like it might be automated. To protect our users from spam and other malicious activity, we canât complete this action right now. Please try again later.
But trying again produces the same result, many, many times. This is using Twitterâs own Twitter.app client on Mac OS X.
This on the heels of having my account messed up for most of yesterday claiming something about the account possibly being compromised, asking me to secure the account by resetting the password and providing a link, which link takes me to a page saying the account is locked, please refer to email for information on how to reset the password. Umm, can you say âinfinite loopâ? How ridiculously lame. (Oh, and there was nothing compromised or in any way wrong with the account. No mysterious tweets. Nothing. Just Twitter being a bonehead.) It just magically fixed itself later, though using that email link continued to say it was locked even though it wasnât. Mind-bogglingly dumb.
