Embedding Tweets show up as links

I maintain two fourth grade elementary blogs for my classroom. When I embed a Tweet from my feed, it only shows up as a series of links, instead of the Twitter window. My school district uses the Schoolwires corporation to host our teacher Web pages. Am I just unlucky enough to have access to two blogs that is not supported by the Twitter embed code? or am I making an error in the code?

An embedded Tweet consists of two parts: a blockquote with information about the Tweet and JavaScript needed to display the Tweet. The Tweet on your websites do not include Twitter’s widgets JavaScript.

Weird - When I copy & paste the whole script into my (CODE) section on my blog post, everything is there, but when I save the post, the “script” code is removed. Any suggestions? I fear it’s a fault through the Schoolwires (and KidBlog) web sites respectively. I have emails into both systems as well to get to the bottom of this issue. Thanks for the heads up!

Removing scripts from content editing forms is a common practice of website template companies. Scripts can do bad things and lead to unpredictable behavior; it’s simpler to strip out.
