Embedded video player blocked in Chrome

I’ve found that in Chrome 66 (macOS), the embedded video player is blocked from playing when the user clicks the Play button. You can make it play if you click two more times.

The console logs an error when you click the Play button:

Uncaught (in promise) DOMException: play() failed because the user didn't interact with the document first. https://goo.gl/xX8pDD

Stack trace came from this script:

Here is an embed code that demonstrates the bug:

Hi @chrisatpolar. We recently fixed this for Chrome 66. Can confirm that it is no longer an issue? Thanks!

It now appears to work fine, thanks.

could you please let me know how i can fix it
i have tried inserting muted into the video tag. i have also added a mouseover event that will trigger it.
This is the error i am receiving:
Uncaught (in promise) DOMException: play() failed because the user didn’t interact with the document first.

<video autoplay="true" muted="muted" loop id="vid">
<source type="video/mp4" src="..." />
