Embedded Video does not work on IE11

I am generating embedded twitter video by using twttr.widgets.createVideo function on IE11 browser. When clicking on the embedded video, I was presented with a message saying ‘By Playing this video you agree to Twitter’s use of cookies’. When I clicked on the ok button, I was shown an blank div and this error occurs -

SCRIPT438: Object doesn’t support property or method ‘assign’
TwitterVideoPlayerIframe.9f3fa50c5fbf9f33.js

I then tried going to Twitter tutorial on https://dev.twitter.com/web/embedded-video but I experienced the same issue.

This works on Edge browser
