Hi,

I’ve found a problem with the embedded timeline when it is placed inside an element with the display property set to none (such as inside a jQuery accordion or tabs.).

I can work around this by creating the widget before the accordion or tabs, however to do this properly I need to know more about the javscript API.

• Is there an event fired when the widget has loaded that I can attach a callback function to? OR,
• Is there a way to manually create or refresh the widget?

I am inserting the embedded timeline on my site but when the twitter feed box pops up it shifts the entire table to the left and doubles the width of my page. I have tried everything I can think of but it always displays correctly until the feed box populates and then it shifts.

I haven’t read every page here, but is there any way the new timeline can work without specifying a domain? Or at the very least, is there/will there be an option to supply a domain on the fly for dynamic websites?

I am using the widget just on localhost and I have noticed that my widget on localhost is not the same as the preview shown when I am creating the widget. An example is if you pick a really common keyword for search, such as “apple”, then compare the preview widget with the widget on your site, they won’t be the same. The preview shows results that are much more recent.
I’m not really one to rant, but this really is horrible. Not only is it really lame that twitter has deprecated the old search API that gives more freedom, but they are now restricting us to using a poorly configurable iframe widget with massaged data.
What can I do to make my widget look the same as the one in the preview? It is highly deceptive to display something different in the preview than what the api is actually returning.

Actually, I believe there is a bug that is preventing me from being able to turn off safe mode. The results that I see in my widget always show safe mode being turned on when it is really turned off. Has anyone else noticed this bug? What can I do to fix it?

Can’t embed timelines on google sites or website. I’ve read almost everything, but it still doesn’t seem to be working. Just a follow link appears

anybody know Twitter timeline widget for search . when I deployed it and see on IE 7. the timeline show correctly but the is an ISSUE when i click reply/retweet/favorite link then It will popup new window and at the same time the Error msg appear “Out of memory at line” 14" all the time.
let me know how to fixed that ??

Anyone know how to override twitter widget font and font size ? I am using search widget and could not override at all ?

This widget sticks out like a sore thumb on every site I’ve tried it on. I imagine it would look good on Twitter.com since it’s their stylesheet only. I hate to tell you, Twitter is a service, not a brand. Twitter’s value lies in helping to establish my client’s brand not Twitter’s. I second @bybrookweb, "Come on Twitter, do the sensible thing and reactivate the old method… " or fix this train wreck and allow us to apply our own stylesheet.

I am trying to get my “Compose new Tweet” to work correctly. After clicking the input field, a pop-up box with the word “Tweet” is activated. Is the input field not supposed to allow my users to tweet directly from my site without leaving? Also how do change the default-text from Tweet? I have embedded a search result feed with multiple hastags.

On another post, a twitter person commented that you were thinking of adding an option in the search feed that would add live results instead of the top results… do you know if that’s still happening? Any updates would be appreciated! Thanks!

Is there any way at all to limit the number of tweets in this out-of-the-box widget to maybe 4 or 5?

I am creating a site that will be read by screen readers for the visually impaired and it gets stuck in forever land, forcing me to put the twitter widget at the very end of the page/tab order. Not where you’d really want news to go!

The widget on my page, when viewed on a desktop, refreshes new tweets at the top without me having to refresh the page. When viewed on an iPad, the time updates, but no new tweets are loaded without refreshing the page. Is there something I can do to fix this? Has this happened to anyone else?

I am trying to embed a widget that searches for the term “atxfloods.” Tweets show up in the preview of the Widgets Configurator, but when I embed the code on my site I get the “Hmm, an empty timeline. That’s weird.” message (the site is www.atxfloods.com/index_test.html, the widget is in the middle tab with the twitter icon). If I click the “search for tweets” button, I see a number of tweets with the search term.

I understand that the widget is not intended to be exhaustive, so it’s fine that it doesn’t show every tweet since the dawn of time. However, why is it not showing the same tweets that appear in the Widgets Configurator window?
