I’ve had a favorites widget on my wordpress for awhile now and it’s working fine. But I can’t figure out how to adjust the number of tweets the widget displays. It has a scroll bar and displays 20 tweets. I’d like it to display more. Is there a part of the code that needs to be edited?

Timelines are in two of the tabs at the bottom right of the page. I’ve set the height parameter to the same height as the tab pane, but the content of the timelines does not ever fill up the height completely. I’ve tried having both of these tabs be the first visible tab, and I’ve tried disabling one (not sure if there is an issue with duplicating the tag.

is there any way to make a smaller version of the twitter widget so that when we embed it in client websites it doesn’t take away from the aesthetic by being available but not garish? I have clients who want twitter, but no more than 230px wide by 150px high … when all they want is one or two tweets at most… help?

This inflexible approach to styling is a huge problem. We will not be able to use the timeline widget on our site without the ability to change corner radii and provide a better color match. A more flexible approach and fix would be huge.

Hi,

I have to say I hate this widget for these reasons:

1.- I only want to show the last tweet and I can’t.
2.- I want to resize it as I want in order to put it in a place with strict dimensions.
3.- I want to customize it following the design lines of the web.
4.- The preview of the widget doesn’t work in twitter’s website.
5.- The widget doesn’t work in localhost and before upload it I want to taste it and check how it takes apart my web because I can’t resize it.

Maybe I’m wrong in some of these points and if someone can help me I’ll be greatful but I will hate the widget the same way.

I used to use livetwitter.js or similar jQuery plugins but all of them work with API 1.0 and thanks to twitter their won’t work in few months.

What I have done to deserve this? T_T

I only want to show the last tweet as well. And I want to be able to set the width > 520px. And yes, the preview does not work for me on Twitter’s setting page as well.

This is highly frustrating.

This isn’t a question, but rather a “solution” that I am posting in case others fall into a similar scenario.

I had thought my Embedded Timeline wasn’t working, as it was only displaying the “Tweets by @username” text line, and the Chrome Javascript console revealed that the widget.js resource was failing to load.

I then checked in Safari to see if the same issue existed, but to my surprise, the timeline displayed perfectly.

The answer is that I had enabled the “Do Not Track Me” extension in Chrome, which was preventing me from loading the external widget.js resource. Disabling the extension on my domain in Chrome revealed that the widget was actually displaying perfectly.

Not sure if anyone else will ever have a similar problem, but again, just wanted to record this in case they do.

The @UEG timetime does not fill the div with chrome. With firefox, it bleeds below the height parameter.

Any ideas ?

Having the same issue. I’m getting the error in the javascript console:

You have not whitelisted this domain for your Twitter widget. Go to https://twitter.com/settings/widgets/251525953451335680/edit and add ‘www.gothamcityimprov.com’ to the ‘Domains’ list for this timeline.

However, I’ve included both variations of the domain:

www.gothamcityimprov.com, gothamcityimprov.com

Is this a bug, or is there a way to fix this?

I also tried www.gothamcityimprov.com/index.php, but wouldn’t save.

This is most likely a problem with your widget domain configuration. By going in your javascript console (cmd-opt-j on Chrome of Firefox for OSX) check for the following error message: Widget not whitelisted for this domain.

Check your settings and make sure you added the specific domain and sub-domain.

www.example.com is not the same thing as example.com or blog.example.com. You can also user *.domain.com to whitelist all the sub-domains.
