Embedded Timelines Questions

Hi, we are planning to use an embedded user timeline to use for our website. Being in Canada, we have to support English and French languages. The problem is when the twitter widget’s language property is set to french. If the user clicks the tweet to box, a part of the ‘Connectez-vous et Tweetez’ button gets cut off when it expands. This error only seems to appear if the user is not signed in to twitter.

I tried to use the timeline widget on my test page for a website that I have yet to launch. I am having the same problem of only a text link showing for some reason. I tried both online and off. I also have a problem with the widget preview and Twitter buttons not displaying on the Twitter websites after completing the form thing to generate the code. This is with Firefox, I don’t think that I have tried with any other browsers yet.

What I would like to do is have the embedded tweet https://dev.twitter.com/docs/embedded-tweets on my website, but have it always display my most recent tweet. I was given this code to fetch a recent tweet:
https://api.twitter.com/1/statuses/user_timeline.json?include_entities=true&screen_name=twitterapi&count=1

But I don’t know what to do with it.

While the messages popups up that can take a few minutes to work (when adding a new widget) I already waited four hours to show some test tweets without any result! What is wrong here: http://www.footgolf-nijmegen.nl/test.html In the console is see no error messages. But I do see a show.json with all the tweets that match the search keyword??!

Is there other method for getting Embedded Timeline script without going to the widget section of the Twitter account?

but it has spped delivering a feed. if i put the url, http://twitter.com/statuses/user_timeline/Flag_Beach.json?callback=twitterCallback2&count=10, into a browser i get this back... twittercallback2({"errors":[{"message":"Sorry, that page does not exist","code":34}]}); can someone please tell me why it is no longer working as it worked fine before. The widget at the bottom above the “best practices” section at the end. I have a hosting service, but I don’t know anything about cache to the server or anything.

Is there a way to have that on my website and have it always display my most recent tweet?

I tried the Twitter timeline widget, but it does not display the preview of it for some reason, and when I put the code on my page and tested it in the browser, it only displayed a text link to Twitter

Workaround:
When setting up the widget through Twitter’s widget creation, don’t create a timeline for the USER, create a timeline for a SEARCH using paramaters to list that user’s posts only.

Twitter search supports a number of paramaters - I’ve been able to remove @replies using a search for “from:USERNAME”, or “@USERNAME -filter:replies” [depends if you want other user comments included].

Other useful filters:
filter:links //ONLY LINKS
-filter:links //NO LINKS

I like the new embedded timeline widget in general - but it does not fit my use case at all.

On a client’s web site I want show JUST his latest tweet. With no styling so I can use CSS.

His users are not the Twitter demographic. They don’t want to tweet and they don’t want to follow. They are most likely confused by the widget and the look and feel does not fit the web site.

Do I have any options after API 1.1?

I’m using subdomains for localhost to run several local sites at once. This gives me an error saying the domain isn’t whitelisted. I noticed in the documentation and answers to other questions that the localhost domain is supported by default and shouldn’t/couldn’t be defined in the widget’s settings this however makes it impossible to define the subdomains. Can this be fixed?
