OK, I have the new embedded timeline working, but my client doesn’t want a Tweet Box as part of their embedded timeline. (Can’t say that I blame them). How do I create an embedded timeline that does NOT have the tweet box? Please email lynn@motormouth.com

The Twitter API has been recently updated and this started to affect some of our WordPress websites that use the GoodLayers Twitter Widget. It seemed to be affecting other twitter widgets as well.

Hello, I beleive this is the problem I’m having, it was basically the same code that Shabab was using. I attempted to update the ‘endpoints’ by using the code suggestion above, but still no luck. Is there something more? In reality, I would just prefer to use the widget as is appears on the widgets page, but that won’t work either. I just don’t want my site down any longer. help?

Working on setting up a widget on an intranet site, but can’t get the widget creator to accept the intranet referrer domain URL: state.sbu. Would it be possible to get the .sbu added as an acceptable top level domain name for the purposes of this widget?

The organisation I work for are exploring the use of embedded timelines. Our site has restrictions around what we can display in terms of advertising. Will there be ads in embedded timelines? If there are ads, then will there be an option to opt out? Or could we pay for a pro version or something like that to prevent ads from appearing? I’ve searched the web extensively but can’t seem to find a definitive answer.

I would like to show last tweets on my website, let’s say last three. All I need is a simple dynamic widget that shows only last three tweets without scroll bar on side, feed box bellow, header text, etc. Just last three tweets, without any other unnecessary stuff. How can I do that as Twitter widget itself offers very little customization options?

I’ve tried to add in the timeline to our website with *.celayix.com and all I see is the Tweets by @Celayix, I’ve also tried www.celayix.com and celayix.com

It would be helpful if Twitter would be more specific about how the code is generated. I have tested the widget here http://www.ponderosahuntingclub.com/test.html and ponderosa is a subdomain of alabamacarrental.com, I have tried listing a combination of the main domain and the subdomain and all I get is the code on the page.

I echo the some of the other concerns. My old widget was working fine and now I have to change the whole page to make this new widget work. What the heck?

Ok this is driving me nuts, I pasted the code on the main page of my domain (not the subdomain) and listed it with and without the www and all I get it the code itself. I’ve looked at the code on pages that have the widget up and running and can’t see what the problem is. http://www.alabamacarrental.com and http://www.ponderosahuntingclub.com/test.html I’m sure it is my brain dissorder but what am I missing?

Hello. I am having the same issue, scroll bars are not showing on Android (tested on 2.3.5) and iPad using Safari. A few people on iPads have said that the widget doesn’t load at all, but unfortunately I do not have any info on their hardware/software versions.
Any updates on the issue?

I’ve found a serious problem that could fix many of your issues! Here’s the code we’re using:

You’ll notice that on my code the url “platform.twitter.com/widgets.js” has http:// in front of it. THAT IS MISSING ON MANY OF THE EXAMPLES I SAW YOU GUYS POST. Twitter delivers it to us as: “//platform.twitter.com/widget.js” which is not a url at all.

I also put TYPE=“text/javascript” in with the call () but I’m not 100% sure that actually did anything. Anyway, I hope this helps you guys!

Is it possible to create a dynamic timeline? I want to embed a search timeline where I can change the search key with some python. If this isn’t possible, could anyone suggest a workaround? I suppose I could use the GET search and embed each tweet…

Like new Twitter widget except the “follow @username” in widget window which opens a new browser window rather than a new browser tab. If in new browser window you click the Twitter icon (blue bird) or “view * full profile”, click will open new tab in open browser to profile page. Why make visitors who want to follow guess about what to do next? Clicking blue bird or view profile not intuitive in new browser window. Why not just take visitor to Twitter profile window in a new tab to login & follow? Just skip the step of opening new browser window especially for visitors who block pop-up windows
