Does the old search widget still work? I don’t think our site is properly rendering the new one (namely, only the link shows up…no widget).
You can see the page I’m talking about here: http://www.hotelsmag.com/Industry/News/Details/35807?allowguest=true
destinationsbooksellers.com is URL where I get nothing but the descriptive text "Tweets from… No box, no timeline, nothing.
Precision with URL…mine only worked with http://destinatio… and wouldn’t show with www. Thanks. You can ignore this one now.
http://danielgarrick.com/tweets - using Tumblr.
I don’t have Android 4.0, but that’s how it works on Chrome for Android 4.1 (the Nexus 7). The swipe-scroll-thinger-gesture-fun works as expected in the timeline.
I’m also having trouble editing my domain. It looks like it automatically pulls the address from my bio, but I can only delete text from that box, I can’t enter anything new in.
How often does the widget check for new tweets? Couldn’t see that in the documentation …?
Love the new embedded timeline! I was bummed to find out you can only customize it’s width to 220px. Any idea if it will be able to be reduced any further? Right now it’s still a little too wide to be displayed on my website. Thanks!
Also, how does the widget behave if it’s in an active tab, then the user goes elsewhere, and then returns the tab a few minutes later? In the preview it seems to stop updating with this behaviour by the user (which is not uncommon)?
I’m having a similar problem with Blogger that @PepperBaseball mentioned. If anyone has had success embedding a timeline on Blogger, I’d love to know what did the trick.
sorry for framing my doubt wrongly.
I meant the widgets render well when tested on localhost or a domain that can be accessed by the rest of the web.
The widgets don’t render on my companies internal sites that we use for staging and QA
Same problem here:
http://rowthree.com (right sidebar - under recent comments)
“Mines like big world in Super Mario 3.”
ha!
I’m getting “Hmm, an empty timeline. That’s weird.” both in the preview and embedded on my site (http://www.n8henrie.com) when I use my primary account (@n8henrie). However, I can put in friends’ accounts and it works perfectly (displaying their tweets on my timeline). What gives? Is something wrong with my account?
Can the default link color for the dark theme be a lighter blue please? Currently it remains a dark grey which is hard to read on the dark theme.
Could I second you on programmatic creation of these widgets? My website contains thousands of media professionals in the UK, like http://www.mediauk.com/radio/presenters/twitter/ - we’d love to be able to programmatically include their timelines, rather than the last tweet they sent (actually, the last tweet we saw), on pages like http://www.mediauk.com/radio/people/12001/fearne-cotton
cool, but do I have to use javascript to resize the iframe in order to make it work with a responsive site? Also, I’m not really crazy about not having control over the background color.
You can DM me your URL.
Same issue – bump.
Just did a quick test, there seems to be a problem, indeed. Will file a bug and update this thread with progress.
