The results you see in search widget are a bit different than what you can get from the API (in TweetBot) or Twitter.com search. There is a mild level of filtering happening in widgets, they are not showing all tweets.

Please provide a link to the page where you are trying to make this work. I can’t help you without this. There is already tens of thousands embedded timelines working as expected out there. I am sorry that you are having a hard time making it work for you. Give me a URL and I will see what I can debug for you.

The embedded timelines have some filtering built in. Users with really low tweet counts and followers might not show up.

In my site, I am trying display the timeline widget in user’s public profile page. The user supplies the twitter handle at the time of registration. Even when I provide the user specific value for the href in the widget code the page displays my timeline rather than user’s timeline.

How do I get around this issue?

The widget works fine for me and is much better than the previous official Twitter widgets! One thing, though:

While FF and IE9 seem to be okay, there is a bug in Chrome. You can even test it on the Embedded Timelines documentation page (https://dev.twitter.com/docs/embedded-timelines). Load it in Chrome, and as it’s loading, use your down arrow on your keyboard, as you would to scroll. The widget (or at least iframe) hijacks focus once it loads, meaning one has to click into the area of the main webpage to restore keyboard focus to it once again. I’ve replicated this bug on multiple computers with different Chrome settings. This is a fairly serious accessibility issue. Is there a temporary fix?

Well, it’s useless for me then. We use the hashtag #digitalia for discussions about our show, how can we tell the listeners to post there if we don’t know if and when their posts will appear in the widget?

Bad idea to publish a tool like that and zero documentation about the parameters of the “mild” (>50%) filtering IMHO.

I’m still having issues with embedding the timeline on my client’s Tumblr page. It still says "Tweets by"
Is there something I’m doing wrong? I would like to get this issue resolved.

Is there a number of followers or total tweets I should be waiting for? So at least I stop thinking it does not work until I have gotten above the proper levels.

I get the error: Widget not whitelisted for domain 'bgsujournalism.com’
in the javascript console. Make sure you have this value in your domain configuration for this specific widget.
