Make sure the domain listed in your widget configuration is exactly the same as for the page where you widget is displayed. www.example.com is not the same as example.com. You can either list multiple domains by seperating them by commas: example.com, www.example.com, blog.example.com. Or use *.example.com if you have many subdomains.

Widgets are works in the facebook page tab app that I have created.
Please enter the domain of the page that you specified in the [Secure Page Tab URL] of settings in facebook Apps.
e.g.
if page tab url is ‘https://mydomain.com/xxxxxxx/’, enter the domain ‘mydomain.com’.

when i try and create my widget with a height of 250 it keeps jumping back to 350 when i click on the update button. is this a bug or am i limited to a minimum height of 350? I wouldn’t have though this would be the case since i was given the option of 250 height when creating the widget.

Thanks! It would be greatly appreciated. In the meantime I’ll also continue scouring for ways to see if I can get it to work. Is the “Domain” facebook.com or www.facebook.com? I have tried both. Of note that I forgot to mention previously, is that when I install it in Internet explorer, and click on the “Tweets by @” link, I get an error and the error is “This content cannot be displayed in a frame”. And I do get the option of being able to have the link open in a different window. Not sure if this information will help at all.

Still getting same problem with the timeline on an ipad where you can’t scroll through tweets - just wondered if there was an update? Original timeline worked fine.

My widgets settings did include the exact domain name.
Tried again and result in blackboard is still only a link to a Twitter page containing the search, not an embedded widget. I see that after I save in Blackboard and look at the code again, the code is modified slightly:

If the end of a embedded twitter list is reached, then you can click “lead more”. Then more twitter messages are loaded. But, unvisible, because they are loaded below the read messages. So an user have to scroll to read the new ones. Suggestion: twitter should load the new ones and automaticly shuffle the old messages higher. Then if you click “lead more” the new ones are immediately in the visible area.

our domain is elearn.pstcc.edu and I added *.pstcc.edu without any luck. That site has an https:// address - could that have anyhting do do with the issue?

Will do! I found a custom widget for our LMS, D2L. I hate to use anything not officially supported by Twitter though - especially now that Twitter is clamping down on devs using the API . . .

I’m getting a javascript error when viewing the site with embedded timeline:

Safari OSX:
TypeError: ‘undefined’ is not an object (evaluating ‘a.replace’)

IE9 Win 7:

Is there also an issue with slashes in the URL name? I’m trying to add the following as my domain and it’s throwing an error:

I’m confused about this. I had thought that this is what was happening – “top” instead of “all”, but if I run a search on the .com, the widget more closely resembles “all” than “top”.

What’s further confusing me is that the widget does not display any relevant tweets from the account from which the widget is created, which makes the widget semi-useless to me.

So, (1) is the widget using “top” or “all” at this point (my widget appears to be using “all”), and (2) how in the world do I get it to include tweets from the account that created the widget?
