The reason is to use my LAN server for testing, before I upload the modified web version. I know it’s not the best way to work, but I usually do well. If not possible, I will adapt to use this widget online only.

Embedded timeline on my blog, however can no longer edit my blog content as when i click on to blog edit page it goes straight to twitter page, any ideas what has gone wrong. Looks fine live.

I managed to work around this with the old widget by hacking the username:

.render().setUser(‘USER&exclude_replies=true&count=20&include_rts=false’).start();

so clearly you had/have the functionality. Hope you add it to the new widget before you take the old widget offline.

I’m confused because the GET statuses/user_timeline method of othe 1.1 API does not return any tweets unless somebody is authenticated. I tried to authenticate the app only using oAuth and it works on the 1.0 API but not not on the 1.1. The documentation says in the authentication section that a user context is required.

Trying to add the timeline widget but can’t figure it out. When I try to save my page I get “Windows cannot access \r.twimg.com\jot” and the page in question (http://midwestmarching.com/indexB.htm) just displays “Tweets by @midwestmarching”, no widget.

Thank you the help however I’m getting an error when trying to add the public drop box link:

“The gadget you added is not valid
Unsupported feature: At least 1 ModulePrefs is required.” Very weird, I’ve added the code as you’ve listed it.

I’ve also tried adding your code into the google sites html box with the following error:

“removing attribute title when folding moduleprefs into parent”

Hopefully twitter can get Google site domains registering properly on the widget config

this is a disaster for me. i was planning on using twitter-text-js 1.4.10, which i would have to host locally on my site for firewall reasons, this was a script that fit nicely in our site with no extra padding or junk allowing us to use Twitter as our news feed on our front page.

This new script has the reply tweet thing, doesn’t look like it will Blend in on our #0099cc background at all, and it’s physically huge! i have a 250Hx 220W box to fit this in.

i have no idea what i’m going to do now.

i cant host locally

i can’t take over the CSS to hide all the extra features headers incorrect colours etc.

this is COMPLETELY unusable on a corporate site.(mine is an .edu site)

oh and it only recognises the first URL in my list of urls, divided by a comma and a space.

this is ridiculous!? you have a perfectly good widget and you replace it with something incomplete. sounds like an ill considered rush job to me.

I’m eager to take the new embedded timeline for a spin.

Unfortunately, I’m one of those people having trouble.
My timeline is not appearing. I’m just getting that “Tweets By” line that others are mentioning.

I don’t think it has anything to do with the underscore in your username; I and several others have been experiencing this bug without much of a response about what’s causing the problem or a timeline for resolution.

Embedded Timelines are not working on my site; I get just a link, not the actual tweets. So its not live. Its just a link to the twitter page. Our site: GameDayLive.com.

Can anyone help. The new timeline widget won’t work on my ipad 3. It looks fine on my PC. I have created the page using dreamweaver and all I get is text in the box where twitter ususally would be. I have reverted back and input the code from the old link. Has anyone else got this problem?

All I see is the static link and an empty iframe. Tried several browsers, incognito chromes, and different PCs. What gives?
