Embedded Timeline - scrollbar not functioning

Hey guys,

We are experiencing an issue with embedded timelines.

Previously this all worked fine but since last night, the scrollbar is no longer functioning correctly.
At the moment, it looks like scrolling within a widget has been disabled or only works occasionally and not 100% of the time

I’ve created a new html file that only contains the embedded html snippet I get back from the widget generator.
Check it out here: http://dev.monkapps.com/a/amv_bbdo/guinness/rugby/twitter3.htm

Can you have a look and let me know what’s going wrong?

Many thanks,

Apologies for this - I’ve just checked your example page, and it is working now for me. We had a couple issues with the web widgets today but have just adjusted things so hopefully this will resolve the problem. Let us know if you’re still having difficulties.

@maximgladines which browser was this not working as expected in?

I’m having the same problem, even with a very simple mock using the example code provided:

<!DOCTYPE html>
<a class="twitter-timeline" data-widget-id="600720083413962752" href="https://twitter.com/TwitterDev">Twitter Timeline Example</a>
	<script>!function(d,s,id){var js,fjs=d.getElementsByTagName(s)[0],p=/^http:/.test(d.location)?'http':'https';if(!d.getElementById(id)){js=d.createElement(s);js.id=id;js.src=p+"://platform.twitter.com/widgets.js";fjs.parentNode.insertBefore(js,fjs);}}(document,"script","twitter-wjs");</script>

Widgets are not scrolling on my site, either.

@DesignersGeeks could you please provide a sample URL where you observed the behavior? Which browsers showed scrolling issues?

Sure - here’s an example on our staging server (loads slow): http://dg-dev.herokuapp.com/events/the-best-interface-is-no-interface

OS X 10.10.5

Browsers: Chrome 44.0.2403.157 (64-bit)

Note that it does work on Firefox 40.0.2 and Safari 8.0.8 - appears to be a Chrome issue?

Thanks for your help!

As of yesterday and continuing today, also having embedded timeline issues.

  • Does not scroll on Android Chrome.
  • Does not scroll using mouse-over scroll wheel (can drag scroll bar manually, though) on Windows Chrome 44.0.2403.157.
(I have not tested other browsers)

Alignment of Embedded Timeline also not behaving as it did before (prior to above issue). It now re-positions itself beneath Facebook widget as opposed to horizontally beside it.

Hi @BayStreetVideo,

The scrolling and layout issue should now be resolved in today’s update. Thanks for your patience!

Yes, both issues are now resolved.
Thanks kindly!
