I’ve been reading about how to embed tweets, but somehow am not finding that function on my account.
What do I need to do to get that feature?

If you haven’t gotten the updated Twitter UI yet you won’t find the embed link on a Tweet page. You could use the /statuses/oembed API endpoint to get the embed code dynamically, however: https://dev.twitter.com/docs/api/1/get/statuses/oembed
