Hi, I have access to a Twitter app where I would like to add a whitelisted callback url.
If I do the changes I get the error message: ‘User is not authorized. Forbidden: Cannot perform action because app is restricted to read-only’.
I guess the reason for that would be the user I’m logged in with is not the owner of this particular Twitter app. Is that correct?
Is there any way to see who the owner of app is (app id: 14810832)?
Thanks!
If your app is restricted to read-only then you need to solve that first - on Platform “MY application was suspended…”
There is no way to find the owner of an app given an app id as far as i know, but you shouldn’t be able to see the app details if you’re not the owner, so if you go to https://developer.twitter.com/en/apps and look at the account you’re logged in as at the top right - that’s the owner.
It could also be a teams thing, or an app that got transferred or something which might be something someone from twitter might be able to answer.
Difficult to understand what the issue is, here. As mentioned above, if you are not the owner of a specific app ID then you should not be able to access or change the app details inside the developer portal. Can you provide a screenshot of what you are seeing? How are you trying to add a callback URL?
If you are the owner of the app, have lost access, and can demonstrate ownership (e.g. if it was registered to your company for example), then you will need to raise a ticket with the API Policy team here.

It appears the app was put into restricted access mode due to unsolicited and/or repeat @mentions. I’ve managed to get this resolved, thanks for help!
