I’m trying to create a new app for my MSc project and get the following (shown in the screenshot) when I’ve completed the form and click the ‘create your Twitter Application’ button.

Any ideas on what I need to do?

That’s weird - I’ve just been able to create an app. It might be a glitch, but if I see more reports / I’m able to reproduce, I’ll prod some people. Can you try again in a little while, and let me know if this persists?

It would appear that the “Rate Limit Exceeded” error is back again on the Web UI. Any suggestions other than change the password and make sure the mobile number is there (tried both of those already).

Yup I’m getting this too. It just started.

I’ve been developing my first twitter app and running into limit issues & losing write access. I’m pretty sure I’ve gotten it under control in the latest version (7-8 posts and 1 or less searches per 15 min… unless each result counts as a search or something. I still lost write access with that setup, But I think I found the reason to be too many mentions so i just fixed that) but when I went to delete my last attempt and start a new app for my updated version with less mentions I got this. Is this a bug or did I get myself blacklisted with my testing/learning limits? How can I tell?

There is a limit on the number of apps you can create in a 24 hour period, to avoid spammy behaviour where some less well-intentioned developers want to create a lot of bots to harrass others. If you wait a day or so you should be able to create another app.
