Displaying tweets from GET search/tweets -- can you even do it?

Hi there,

I’m working on a final project for a class. So far, I’m using the API to get trends for a location and display them with D3. So far, so good. Next I want to be able to allow a user to click on the trend and display a collection of tweets about that trend without linking to the Twitter search page (which is how I’ve been seeing them concept implemented). The embedded timelines are static, so that’s not an option.

I started digging into Streaming, but dunno if that’s the right rabbit hole.

I’m new to all of this. I’m using the Python Twitter Tools package to use the API and write the logic. Sorry if this is a newb question – I didn’t know how to do any of this a month ago. Thanks for all your help.

What problem do you experience with the GET search/tweets endpoint?
