I’ll try to use the command :

But i always has a http 401 error.
Could you help me ?

You can’t use the OAuth tool on this site with the oauth/request_token step of the OAuth flow – it’s meant for use with API resource methods, not the authentication steps. This is failing in part because you’re including an oauth_token in the request, which is not relevant to this step of the OAuth flow.

hello,
i am using “TwitterAPIExchange.php” for https://api.twitter.com/1.1/statuses/user_timeline.json. Problem what I am facing is that sometime code is able to get recent twittes and some time response is null. There is no issue with authentication also I have rest all tokens and keys.
I am unable understand where is the issue.

Hi we really would like to get an increase of the API rate limit. our archive script does run into limits when we do archive one of our events or do search event tweets.

please consider increasing it maybe double for the beginning?

Hi, maybe you should ask why we are wanting to grab so many requests - perhaps there are opportunities for creating different types of API requests ?
eg
GetLostFollowers( since:Time );
or
GetNewFollowers( since:Time );

+1 for raising the API rate limit. I’m just trying to get caught up on who started following me, and twice today, I have received a rate limit notice. I think Twitter is seriously hampering some of its content providers with such a low limit.

The twitter search api doesn’t seem to be working properly. When I use the following request https://api.twitter.com/1.1/search/tweets.json?q=%23itsJupalDay&result_type=mixed&count=100 I get no results but when I search for #itsJupalDay using the twitter search at https://twitter.com/search?q=%23itsJupalDay I see lots of tweets. Also when I use the following request https://api.twitter.com/1.1/search/tweets.json?q=%23LoveRaina4Ever&result_type=mixed&count=100 I only get 12 results but when I search for #LoveRaina4Ever on the twitter search at https://twitter.com/search?q=%23LoveRaina4Ever I find more than 12 tweets. Why isn’t the api returning all the tweets I requested?

I’d happily pay money for a premium version of twitter with advanced capabilities and increased resource limits, as would 100s of thousands of others I imagine.

I use t, which is a twitter client for the command line. I only use it for my account, but still I get a “Rate limit exceeded” once in a while. Could you please increase my rate limit?

We are collecting, analyzing and sharing analysis about Government edits and their social’s interactions in politics using public domain tools (like Congressedits, Twarc and so on). Current limits require lots of days in analyzing data and it puts at risk lots of useful informations for users and researchers.

Twitter knows very well what it means obtain data when to late for analysis or to share. We found current limits very low also in doing simple analysis that involve less than 250k Tweets. Or if there are a relevant number of accounts with more than 3k followers.
There is any way to leverage current limits for specific users or API KEY?

I’m also using t and would like a rate limit increase. The current limit is just not enough for doing two searches on my own timeline.

@zakx, elevation request can be made through this form. The process is very selective and not all apps will be granted elevated access.
