To answer your question, I am going to quote @episod directly from https://dev.twitter.com/discussions/12691:

At this time POST-based limits are unchanged from v1 to v1.1. They are account-based allowances that have no relation to the application involved in their usage, with the exception of non-write-action POSTs like users/lookup.

Posting allowances, DM allowances, and so on are all intrinsic to the user and their current allowances are not available programmatically.

Craig I have a problem with twitter search V1.1 , I’m still getting

SyntaxError: Unexpected token ,

When I try to parse the JSON from the twitter API response. That is because a mal formed JSON is delivered.

My search example tested just a moment ago was:

?q=brasil&include_entities=true&count=15

I have a solution about it,just change “XXX” to your key.

This is a dashboard written with Codeigniter MVC. It has multiple users with 2 other platforms Facebook and Youtube not just 1 user. Both Facebook and Youtube are working just fine. Also should I be using statuses/user_timeline or statuses/home_timeline?

This is a custom built app and I’ve trying to figure out what the other guy did. Thanks for your help.

Hello everybody,

I have a problem related to searching method in v1.1. I am trying to search a keyword by doing a webrequest with a link like “https://api.twitter.com/1.1/search/tweets.json?q=%23help&until:2013-06-30&count=100&result_type=mixed&include_entities=true”, but I get an error like “The remote server returned an error: (400) Bad Request.” when I get the response from the request. How can I get rid of this issue? Please help me

Hello everbody,

I have a problem about searching keyword by doing web request like “https://api.twitter.com/1.1/search/tweets.json?q=%23HPV&until=2013-06-30&count=100&result_type=mixed&include_entities=true”.
I guess that I missed something related to authentication but I dont know exactly what I missed to do. Do I need to put authenticatoin token in the requesting link? Final thing, I get an error message like
"The remote server returned an error: (400) Bad Request".

Please help me about it.

I try to put the whole JSON but the form don’t let me put a lot of text, so I’ll try to put just the part of the response that have the error:

At the end of this JSON part of an object there is the attribute
"retwe",

that misses a value and it is maybe the incomplete attribute name of “retweets”

It doesn’t happen there all the time, but in different parts of the JSON response.

when I twiit any message from our owqn application,then I get an error—{“errors”: [{“message”: "The Twitter REST API v1 is no longer active. Please migrate to API v1.1. https://dev.twitter.com/docs/api/1.1/overview.", “code”: 68}]}.
For this error when I go through my twitter account and then I can see that there have a that my present version is 1.0 and then I want to change this version from 1.0 to 1.1 with the help of OAuth tool.Then the Request URI have changed from “https://api.twitter.com/1/” to “https://api.twitter.com/1.1/statuses/mentions_timeline.json”. But when I change the tab from oAuth tool to settings and then if we come back from setting to oAuth tool,then we can see that Request URI have unchanged i.e it’s value is “https://api.twitter.com/1/”,not “https://api.twitter.com/1.1/statuses/mentions_timeline.json”. So,please let me know how can I change my existing version 1.0 to version 1.1.
I will be very glad if I get any solution on this topic. Please inform me as soon as possible.

I am working on a project that uses Streaming API with Phirehose library and i can’t download public tweets with sample anymore (after changing API v1.1). I use the cygwin terminal to run my cURL command from OAuth signature and i can see the sample of public tweets but unfortunatelly i can’t do the same with my Phirehose example
