We’ve made a couple of updates to the privacy and geographic data sections of our Developer Agreement and Developer Policy.
In conjunction with Twitter’s certification under the EU-US Privacy Shield program, we updated section I.C.6 of the Developer Policy to add, that (1) developers’ privacy policies must explain how users can contact them, and (2) developers must inform us if they can no longer meet their privacy obligations, and must either take steps to remediate or cease using the Twitter API and Twitter content.
For consistency, we replaced references to “Tweet” with “Content” in section II.C of the Developer Agreement.
Please use the Rules and Policies category for questions related to these updates. You may also open a ticket with the Platform Support team via our form if you have a detailed inquiry related to specifics of our policies. Thanks!
