Hello. I’m confused.
I applied for developer access so I could develop a Bot we are using on Discord already to submit content that is approved by our leadership to the POST statuses/update endpoint, and occasionally the POST statuses/retweet/:id endpoint. There were a couple of other bells and whistles that I might have liked to add (analyzing engagements with approved tweets, liking and following the authors of retweets/quote tweets) but these were not critical to my application and I offered repeatedly in the back and forth with whoever was handling my ticket to forgo them.
I was referred with bolded text on the standard form replies directing me to the Automation Rules and to notes about automated likes, tweets, and retweets, but as near as I can understand them even my most expansive use case would not have violated any of the rules.
Can someone help me understand what happened? Is there any way to re-apply for developer access? When I try now it just shows me a black screen referencing my initial application.
Thanks.
All of our developer applications are reviewed to ensure compliance with Twitter policy. While we can’t comment on specific cases, applications may be rejected if they are found to be in violation of any section of the Developer Agreement and Policy, Automation Rules, Display Requirements, and/or the Twitter Rules.
Additional information on restricted uses of Twitter APIs is available here.
There currently isn’t a way to edit a rejected application, or to re-apply, however stay informed for product updates/changes.
There are several existing topics on the matter. I’m going to close this one as it is a duplicate.
