Delete Twitter Cards

How do you delete Twitter Cards? I removed all meta tags from my site (months ago), but the cards keep showing up.

Sorry for the difficulty.

We have a cache and it updates every 7 days or so. I would be sure that that twitter:card tag is there, but without meta tags to make sure we know it’s crawled, and clear our cache.

No worries. But I’m trying to get rid of my Twitter cards. I deleted all tags a few months ago and the Twitter cards were gone, and now they’re back. I checked my site and there are no tags there.

I also checked with the Twitter card validator, and it says it found 14 meta tags, but like I said before there are no tags on my site.

I’ve also been trying to fix this issue for a while now, at least longer than 7 days, so I’m pretty sure it’s not the cache.

Is there a way to get un-whitelisted?

Another quick question: I’m trying what you suggested, so I’m adding the tag back to my website, do I just do the twitter:card tag, or should it be the summary (the card I had) one as well?

There is no un-whitelisting. (In fact, for standard cards, the need for whitelisting has been removed entirely, as of a new feature roll-out.)

It seems odd that it was removed and re-added. That said, do a summary card with no other tags.

ok, I’ll try it out. Thanks so much.

It’s still showing Twitter Cards.

Can you share the full URL here so we can test?

Sure, the URL I used in the tweet is:

The URL I used for setting up Twitter cards:

And the URL of the actual tweet is:

Any word why this keeps happening?

Sorry for delay. Your page still have twitter meta tags on it:

<meta name="twitter:title" content="2015"/>
<meta name="twitter:url" content=""/>
<meta name="twitter:card" content="summary"/>
<meta name="twitter:description" content="Original abstract paintings by luciana ja'vonne in Cleveland, TN."/>

Do you know where? I’ve searched my site and there are no tags on it, I use Squarespace, so there’s only a couple of places they could be.

Screen shot below for this URL:

At this point, you’ll need to contact SquareSpace.
