Is there a way in which I can customize the way the Twitter Widget is displayed on my site? I would like the design of the Widget’s output to match my site’s look.
Additionally, I was researching ways to make a customized “widget” and read that twitter has cracked down on json(p) and ajax requests. Anyone out there care to chime in on this?

Using JSONP and custom rendering code would be the approach I would use.

What do you mean by “cracked down”? Do you have any references?
