Hello, I was using the Twitter embed feature on my website and just learned that they removed custom link colors for websites. I was using that feature and worked very hard to put together a black and yellow theme for my site. Will they ever bring that feature back or am I just gonna have to no longer use it? Also if there are any alternatives which will allow me to use custom link colors, please let me know.
This is what it used to look like:

As specified in the announcement:
We will also discontinue support for customization of link colors on embedded Tweets and timelines across all platforms. Links with customized colors will begin to render as Twitter blue as specified in our brand guidelines.
I am not aware of any plans to revert this change at this time.

Man, I wish they didn’t do that, just assuming that nobody was using it…
When we announce and make changes like this, we have to balance the overall usage of the features with the investment required to continue to support them. The data in this case showed very small overall usage (not that “nobody was using it”, but that the percentage was small across the overall use of embedded Tweets and timelines; and that our own brand guidelines include the use of the Twitter palette). We apologise that this is disappointing to you and understand that it has had an impact on your own usage.
