Custom Embedded Tweets

So I was wondering what the deal is with custom embedded tweets now being applied to a website. This used to be possible until the rules were tightened up around the use of tweets on a website around 2012 but recently I’ve started seeing them appear again.

Does anyone know the ruling around these? Do you have to be a ‘certified’ tweeter account is this now possible?

What is your use of Embedded Tweets that requires custom rendering?

In the examples I gave the customisation means that the tweets can be integrated into the page more aesthetically rather than the awkward box that is the twitter widget.

We’re just looking to use it on a site which benefits both the value of twitter without jarring with the design of the page. Like the Vivid festival examples.
