cURL for direct_messages?

hi,
I’m new to Twitter Dev and HTTP things. I read some articles about using cURL and APIs to send direct messages or update status, my questions is how to send a message to my own account with cURL and I’m able to get a notification on twitter’s mobile app?

Take a look at the twurl tool and also the API for sending direct messages (POST direct_messages/new)
