After many months without facing any issue and without any prior warning, our app stopped working.
While permissions and account seem in order, there is now a warning that reads “RESTRICTED TO API READ ACCESS ONLY” next to the app name (that’s the only clue we can see that shows something is wrong).

Which is very weird because in the Permissions tab of our app, we can see that we still are supposed to have both Read & Write Access. And we did not receive any email or warning telling us that something had gone wrong.
I’ve already created a ticket (0157163463 [ref:00DA0000000K0A8.5004A00001wheZ5:ref]) for that 5 days ago but still did not hear back. I’m hence very sorry to insist but a ton of our customers are impacted and I would greatly appreciate to receive some help as soon as possible.

We’re unable to help with anything related to API access restrictions via these forums.
In the case of the restriction you’ve posted about, that’s very commonly caused by our antispam systems taking action when an application is used to send unsolicited mentions. That’s only one possible reason, but it is what I hear about the most often. Again, we cannot help with individual applications via the forums, this is just informational.
In most cases where an application is restricted to read-only access, you should be able to reset this on the first occasion via the dashboard, and if the same issue recurs, will need to open a case. Once you’ve done that, you’ll be in the review queue for the agents to get back to you. We do have a backlog at present so they will get to your ticket as soon as possible.
