Hello everyone,
I was wondering whether there are any known official restrictions/guidance from Twitter on conducting reseach on COVID-19 misleading claims using Twitter data? I want to know if there is anything researchers should be aware of before applying/proposing a project in this direction.
In addition, as far as I remember Twitter used to have a COVID-19 data set for researchers to use. I cannot seem to find it anymore. Has anyone used it before?
Thanks for reaching out @KatebiVolha
I think the dataset that you are referring to is the covid-19 stream endpoint that used to give all the Tweets on this topic. The applications for that specific endpoint have been closed. But you can still get covid related data using the covid-19 Tweet annotation when searching with the Twitter API v2. In your search query you can use context:123.1220701888179359745 and this will give you that data

@suhemparack Thank you so much for the response!
By any chance, is there any information on the nature of that data set? Specifically, I am interested what key words has been used (e.g., are there any other key words than covid such as omicron or vaccination-related words). Any clarification would be helpful!
