Counter not incrementing (how original) but clicking "0" shows search results

#1

My button code looks like this:

<a href="https://twitter.com/share" class="twitter-share-button" data-url="http://endcrawl.com" data-counturl="http://endcrawl.com" data-text="Autoglyph Endcrawl - create scrolling end credits for film &amp; tv." data-size="large" data-count="horizontal" data-size="large">Tweet</a>

The counter is still stuck at zero days later. But clicking on the “0” shows some search results: https://twitter.com/#!/search?q=http%3A%2F%2Fendcrawl.com

I’ve tried with and without the http:// and with and without a trailing slash.

Separately, if I select data-count=“vertical”, the counter disappears altogether.

Any suggestions really appreciated. I’ve read and re-read the documentation.

I had a similar problem with the Facebook button, and I realized that it had cached my URL http://endcrawl.com to the password-protected redirect http://endcrawl.com/?password-protected=login&redirect_to=http%3A%2F%2Fwww.endcrawl.com%2F

I had turned off the password protection a week ago - had to go to https://developers.facebook.com/tools/debug in order to clear the FB cache.

Does Twitter do something similar?
