Hi,
We’re using OAuth in a few different applications, both for allowing users to sign in to websites using their Twitter login, and for interacting with the Twitter API to perform various actions on behalf of the user.
If we have activity around 10:00am to 10:20am UTC then we get the error message “Could not create SSL/TLS secure channel.”.
We do also see this error infrequently at other times of the day, but it seems to happen reliably at 10.
We have seen this happen over a period of weeks, but specific dates this occured on are October 28th, 29th and 30th for the API and Nov 6th for the website login.
Doing a bit of research I’ve found posts covering the last year and a half where other people have encountered this issue, but none ever have a resolution/solution.
This dev is seeing the issue at 10:00am and 10:00pm: http://forums.overclockers.co.uk/showthread.php?p=25794364
This post has two more devs seeing the issue: https://social.msdn.microsoft.com/Forums/vstudio/en-US/72cc78ef-8af8-437e-b528-a2d04ec9996d/the-request-was-aborted-could-not-create-ssltls-secure-channel
Here’s a post on this site, from 30 days ago, that was ignored: “Could not create SSL/TLS secure channel” every 12 hours
