We’re excited to announce that over the coming months, we will be opening up some new features for developers and brands building on the Direct Messages tools. Here’s an early taste of what is coming up, described further in our blog post:
- The ability to create welcome messages, and quick replies within the Direct Messages interface. Today, businesses are already able to set up a welcome message using the Twitter Dashboard tool, but we’re making it possible for developers to create multiple welcome messages using the new tools.
- The new tools enable new types of automation and faster Direct Message experiences, and we will continue to add features to enable better experiences for businesses and people.
The tools to enable these kinds of experiences are in private beta right now, but you can apply today to be notified when they are available to you. Head to the revamped dev.twitter.com site to request access. We’re thrilled to work with you, and to see what you build on the Direct Message platform!
