Color Accessibility on developer.twitter.com

#1

The colors on the developers.twitter.com site are pretty difficult to read and don’t provide enough contrast to pass W3C accessibility guidelines here.

By way of example, the following pages don’t provide enough contrast:

https://developer.twitter.com/en/docs

image

The text “Build personalized customer experiences with our Direct Message platform” has a contrast ratio of 2:1

CSS selector is c09-content-module__description

https://developer.twitter.com/en/docs/tweets/filter-realtime/overview

The text “Overview contents” has a contrast ratio of 1.9:1

CSS selector is tabs-nav__toc__title

I’m sure there are more, but I thought I’d bring it up since I was trying to read some of these pages this morning and could barely make out some of the text.

Thanks, this is useful feedback. I’ll ask the design team to look into this.
