I can’t find any documentation for this error:

Thanks, looking into what the possible causes of this scenario would be. Was there anything specific you can share about the parameters used in the API call to statuses/update?

The error looks like a catch-all. But, I did just figure out what caused it for me. I was generating a new tweets from existing tweets after some processing. The processing included converting the entire tweet text to lower case. The lower casing was a problem when the original tweet contained a shortened URL with caps.

ahh, that makes some sense from my investigation here, because I was hearing something about invalid URL entities potentially causing that issue. I’ll see how best we can add this to the docs.
