Clicking the twitter icon brings up the twitter timeline, not the pop-up for posting a tweet

Hi, I am not a technical person at all so I’m out of my depth here. I’m not even sure I’m in the right forum. My excuses if I’m in the wrong place. I am using the Cheer Up theme in Wordpress for a blog, and there are overlay icons on photos to allow readers to share quickly on social media. Colleagues have told me that the twitter icon (on mobile, Android and iPhone) leads them to their twitter timelines and not a pop-up for posting a status/tweet. However, for my phone it works (I have an Android). Can someone please help me and explain to me why this happens. But more importantly, to help me fix it, without going into coding, which I don’t understand at all. The blog is This is what appears in my colleague’s phone when she clicks the icon

Hope someone can help. Thanks!

Hi, the different behavior appears between desktop and mobile, and is because your theme is using a very old, and unsupported version of the “Tweet” link:

These links are not supported on mobile, and so just end up on the homepage. You need to update your theme to instead use web intents directly:

Hope that helps,

Hi Ben,

Thank you very much for your reply. I will send your reply to the authors of the Cheer Up theme or to Wordpress, and hope they can help me.
