This is the card validator result:
This is what is shown in timeline:
I have seen other posts, but I could not locate the view summary link, as suggested.
Unfortunately, the url is a temporary one, being generated when a volunteer applies for a charity project. So, to get to the page it is necessary to sign up and apply.
An example url could be:

I am still testing this feature, on test site.
Would you please be so kind to help me?
thanks in advance
Is there a currently-active URL that we can take a look at?
Also note that twitter:image:src should be twitter:image. That’s not likely to be the cause of the issue, just something you might want to clean up.
I made a little temporary modification so the above url should be available.
If this can help I am including the Twitter SDK embedded in page:
And this is the actual sharing button:
<a class="twitter-share-button " data-size=“large” href=“https://twitter.com/intent/tweet?&text=Ciao! Ho aderito a questa attivita’ volontaria:&url=https://test.romaltruista.it/detail_volunteer_opportunities/11262/”>Condividi</a>
Hope this helps,
thanks again.
I’ve just posted a Tweet with this link and the image shows up successfully. Note that the image does not appear in the Tweet intent popup, but only in the Tweet once it is visible in the timeline.
andypiper, thank you for your prompt reply.
Unfortunately, when I tweet, images do not show up on MY timeline.
May I ask if you have any idea why?
Thanks
Can you provide a direct link to your Tweet (or the Tweet ID)? Are you using a URL shortener?
This is the tweet I posted after your reply:
No, I am not using any url shortener.
Thnks.
This appears to be another URL to a website, not a link to a Tweet.
Sorry, I used the wrong procedure.
Thanks.
Hi,
I have some news.
Other volunteers tried to share the card, but, just like on mine, on their timeline the image does not show up.
Have you got any suggestion?
This is preventing our projects to be shared in a proper way.
Thank you in advance.
Try replacing your following meta tag with the I suggest here:
Your meta tag:
<meta name="twitter:image:src" content="https://test.romaltruista.it/fileman/Uploads/Images/progetti/P_20160331_155526_400x300.jpg" />
with
<meta property="og:image" content="https://test.romaltruista.it/fileman/Uploads/Images/progetti/P_20160331_155526_400x300.jpg" />
Hi,
Thank you for your reply.
At moment I have the following :
I corrected the twitter:image:src to simply twitter:image, but still not working.
The og:image was already coded, do you mean I should remove the twitter:image ?
Thanks for your cooperation.
Hi,
I am taking responsibility of the ticket, on client side.
I still cannot see images shown on timeline, despite all efforts.
Our coding seems to be compliant with the available documentation, but this probllem is preventing us from sharing our projects properly.
I need continous support until the problem is solved.
Please help us, we really need it.
Does anyone will to help?
Is there anything we can do to get rid of this bug?
We are still stuck, with no responses neither by the community, nor by Twitter staff.
I do not think this is acceptable.
I am sorry to say this, but it is the truth.
