Card validator error - twitter:description meta tag

#1

I am confused about the twitter description meta tag. Can someone explain it to me?
I picked the summary card. I found this code on the net for blogger:

<b:if cond='data:blog.metaDescription'><meta name="twitter:description"
expr:content='data:blog.metaDescription'/><b:else/>
<!-- Still looking for a way to use the post snippet if there's no description --></b:if>

What is wrong or missing from the code that gives the error message. What description would the code give: site wide or for each blog post?

Thanks

It looks like that code for Blogger only includes the twitter:description tag if you have already set a Description for the blog on Blogger itself… otherwise the tag will be left out.

not yet solved.

I have removed the Blogger description a long time ago but it keeps popping up even in facebook. Beats me.

Can you share a link to the site you are trying to validate?

You need the twitter:description tag.

As I mentioned before, the code snippet you were including for blogger, only actually put that tag into the rendered page IF your blog had a description set.

Try just putting this line in with the other tags:

<meta name="twitter:description" expr:content='data:blog.metaDescription'/>

If that does not work, just try:

<meta name="twitter:description" content="my awesome blog/>
