Can someone please tell me what I’m doing wrong here? The domain is using a CNAME to redirect to a heroku instance. When I put the heroku instance in (http://local-resources.herokuapp.com), everything works fine…

I think you are experiencing the same issue I am where Twitter for some reason does not acknowledge all url domains. In your case it’s .nyc, in my case it’s .vote (http://karma.vote). I had to use the IP address or purchase another domain that twitter accepts (in my case I had to redirect my company address lucidlife.co to point to karma.vote - my product page just so it would pass Twiitter’s card validator.)
