The validator experienced some downtime. It has since been operating as expected and it looks like your URL validates without any issues. You just need to submit for approval at this point. If you are still having issues with your domain though, please let me know.

Hi Bo, apologies for a delayed follow up to your questions. SoundCloud implements Twitter Card meta tags and I do see a card rendered for the URL above on web and within TweetDeck after clicking the details link in the tweet.

In order to have a Twitter Card for your subscription page, it will need to have Twitter Card meta tags in the head section of the HTML. I’m unfamiliar with MailChimp’s subscription pages such as this, but if you can edit the HTML yourself, add the tags for the card of your choice to the page source. Otherwise you will need to reach out to MailChimp.

And I assume you have control over the HTML for boporter.com. You or your web developer will need to add Twitter Card meta tags to the site for us to recognize your information and render Cards. If you have any questions, please let me know here or start a new discussion mentioning me directly.

First time on the Twitter developers’ site, so apologies if I’m supposed to start my own thread. I can’t see anywhere to do that.

Trying Twitter cards for the first time. Sample page:

I keep getting different error messages when I try to validate it. One says it’s an invalid card type. Another says it can’t fetch because of an internal error. A third one had a different message.

I’ve gone through the troubleshooting tips and tried everything I can from them.

Any thoughts on how to get this to work would be greatly appreciated!

Twitter product cards worked perfectly for me upto an hour ago when suddenly the validator tool comes up with the following error: Failed to crawl url, debugId: 627985864200,

Ay solution?

Update: The product card on twitter is actually working (https://twitter.com/KosherWineUK/status/495959610562330626) it’s just the validator tool that isn’t working

It looks like your card validates. The only thing I’m noticing is that your twitter:image tag is empty, which could cause an issue. I would suggest providing a value for this tag or removing it completely.

Hi Elizabeth, to start your own thread, simply go to the main https://dev.twitter.com/discussions page, fill in the text input, and click “Ask.”

It looks like the URL above was able to validate for me; it just needs to be submitted for approval. If you are still having issues though, please let me know.

I’ve seen some issues when meta tags are included, but left empty. I would suggest removing the twitter:creator, twitter:domain, and all of the app tags if they are not going to be used. Let me know if that does not resolve the issue.

Thanks for the reply, Jon. It’s validating for me now. Seems like it must have been a temporary glitch. I’ve now submitted it for approval.

I’m trying to use Twitter Product Cards, the validator seems to have excepted the link, however the card doesn’t appear in Twitter, the link to he page is http://www.kosherwineuk.com/macallan-rare-cask-1824-master-series-p-5511.html

It should appear in the tweet detail; not in the timeline.
