Card image is not shown

#1

Hi,

I created Twitter Card Summary with Open Graph tags, Twitter validator says everything is ok and validated. However Card image is not shown, even it’s OK/green in the validator.

I’ve searched and made the tricks like allowing Twitter robot in robots.txt and I’ve added twitter.com to the allowed list of my hot link protection but still, no luck.

Here’s my site:

Thanks in advanced.
T.

The image is now showing up in your summary card.

I am having the same issue, here:

Could it be because I am also using cards on our blog, a subdomain on blog.memeoirs.com?

Also, OT, why is it so hard to search previous questions on the Cards discussion board?

Hey John, thanks for the feedback! Hopefully our relaunch of the discussion board this week makes things a little easier :slight_smile:

Concerning your image issue, first try using twitter:image as the meta tag as described in the documentation. That may or may not be the root cause.

Hi, I’m having the same issue with the large image Twitter Card. It doesn’t matter what I do, it keeps showing the summary card, instead the large image summary card.

Here´s an example: http://tristanelosegui.com/2014/09/08/3-los-tres-pilares-de-la-nueva-estrategia-en-redes-sociales/

And also de meta:

<meta name="twitter:card" content="summary_large_image">
<meta name="twitter:site" content="@tristanelosegui">
<meta name="twitter:creator" content="@tristanelosegui">
<meta name="twitter:title" content="Los tres pilares de la nueva estrategia en redes sociales">
<meta name="twitter:description" content="Marketing online, analítica web y social media.">
<meta name="twitter:image:src" content="http://tristanelosegui.com/wp-content/uploads/2014/09/shutterstock_179343140.jpg">

Any clues?

Thank you!!

Best,

Tristán

Hi Tristán! thanks for your question. I can see that you’ve specified summary_large_image in your card metadata - but did you previously use a summary card, and then change it over to large image? If so, it could be a caching issue. Take a look at our Troubleshooting guide for more on this.

Hey!

Thanks for getting back to me. I am using twitter:image:src as per Summary Large Card documentation. Even here twitter:image is nowhere to be found.

Should I change twitter:image:src to twitter:image?

Grazie!

Fred

Thanks for you answer Andy. Yes I had summary card before. I’ve tried to publish and refresh but now it is not showing any card!

<meta name="twitter:card" content="summary_large_image" />
<meta name="twitter:site" content="@tristanelosegui" />
<meta name="twitter:creator" content="@tristanelosegui" />
<meta name="twitter:domain" content="tristanelosegui.com" />
<meta name="twitter:description" content="Las redes sociales intervienen en un 87% de las conversiones en la etapa de consideración del proceso de decisión de compra (conversiones asistidas)." />
<meta itemprop="image" content="<img src='/uploads/default/650/7aed6f37022851c9.jpg'>" />

Any clues??

Thank you!
