Can't Remove Chrome

Currently I’m trying to remove the header, footer, the border and have the background be transparent. Maybe I’m not 100% clear on how the data-chrome attribute is supposed to work? All other custom attributes seem to work; I tried setting the link colour and the theme to dark and those changes were accepted.

Any help would be very much appreciated, thanks.
